Collaboration and community are at the core of our work. Operating as a virtual global research network, GCP enters into formal agreements and signs memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with other organisations on matters of mutual interest to achieve its mission.
- 2011: MoU with iPlant
- 2006: MoU with GCDT
- 2004: Consortium Agreement
In January 2011, GCP and iPlant collaborative signed an MoU on mutually agreed programmes and activities in areas of mutual interest. The subject matters of particular interest included the development of an Integrated Breeding Workbench, a configurable suite of logistic, analytic and decision-support informatics tools to facilitate modern plant breeding.
GCP and the Global Crop Diversity Trust signed an MoU in December 2006 to collaborate in carrying out activities of mutual interest, particularly concerning the conservation, research and development of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture.
The GCP Consortium was formed to advance the goal of, provide support for, participate in, and encourage expanded support for and participation in the Generation Challenge Programme. The original Consortium Agreement was signed in August 2004, and amended in July 2009.
